Many of the playoff bound NL teams are still cupcakes. How San Fran has a winning record with the guys they throw out there is crazy. Braves and Dodgers are the only 2 teams I would consider decent, all the rest are pretenders and the Rangers are benefiting from their schedule right now.

Yeah, we need the Mariners to lose. Don’t give a damn about the 1 seed. It’s all about winning the division, and Seattle losing certainly helps.

As for the Ramgers, they’ve had a very favorable schedule since the All-Star break. That all changes in the second half of August when they have to play a bunch more road games than home games. Since the ASG the Ramgers are 13-2 at home and 6-6 on the road. Meanwhile the Astros are 8-3 at home and 10-6 on the road. As you can see, the Ramgers have benefitted from a nice schedule.

The Ramgers get 6 more home games this week, but have Milwaukee coming in. Then a 10 game road trip. September especially looks to favor the Astros as they get 9 games against KC and Oakland. The Ramgers have just 3 games left with Oakland.

We had some crap luck playing the Pirates, Giants, Reds when they were all hot. The luck is going the Rangers way now playing teams in slumps.

It would be a travesty for the Astros to score 22 runs with France and Verlander pitching but not give Urquidy any run support. Hopefully the hits keep on coming because I don't trust Urquidy to hold the fort.

I think we know from a Dusty quote yesterday that Altuve will be DH today.

Altuve will DH. Perhaps Diaz gets a start at first base today.

I’ll be at the game today. Hopefully no half assed lineup by Dusty including Kessinger or Hensley.
