You know what would be totally amazing?

If on some day game, Singleton homers at exactly 4:20.

    That would be pure poetry.

He is on pace to have the best season in mlb history if you extrapolate his first start over the entire season. What a great pick by Dana for picking Ruth, bonds, Maris, Aaron combined

His first start? When he went 0-4 Thursday against the O's? ;)

That was a warm up but ok even with that he is on pace to hit 81 home runs. Barry bonds minus the steroids.

Is he the 2023 version of Evan Gattis?

He'd be on pace for 162.

Interesting that this game only brought his OPS up to .630 for the season, so his numbers basically look exactly like they did during his first years in Houston.

The way I see it, if you are going to make contact less than average, you may as well hit them over the fence. That is what make Maldy sometimes bearable. He hits homers when he does get a hit. I assume Singleton will hit more of them in the same amount of opportunities.

Expectation of being better than Maldonado, I don't think you set the bar low enough.

My point is that he will never hit above .250. I just want him to hit them over the fence when he does. Take the Schwarber, Gallo approach. That's the best we can hope for.

Singleton has passed Corey Julks in fWAR (.31 vs .27) for the Astros.

Those Dusty quotes about not wanting to experiment at 1B are something else.

I didn't watch the game, but I saw his 1st at-bat, he crushed the ball unfortunately an out to 1st baseman. If he connects right on the sweet spot, Singledaddy.
