I've gotta totally disagree. He has had the most misleading year I've ever seen, and I feel like i'm in the minority of those who are not fooled.

as good as you guys think he's been playing, the guy is currently under .300, and, with RISP, i'm guessing he's hitting around .150. he is as unreliable as they come in the clutch. throw in the fact that he's the worst defensive outfielder in the game, and that he's single-handedly cost us about 5 games over the past 2 seasons, and biggio doesn't have a leg to stand on either.

but i can guarantee he was one of the two.

Biggio is leading the team in extra base hits, hits, total bases, runs, and home runs (not counting Beltran). I sure didn't expect that much out of him. He's been a liability in the field, but the fact he has as many home runs as Bagwell is a problem, and it's not Biggio's problem.

When has RISP for a leadoff hitter been particularly important anyway? You want your high RISP guys to be in the middle of the lineup, when their are supposed to be runners to drive in.

Here's my thought on Redding. If (and its a big IF) we had not let go and traded our entire bullpen in the offseason, maybe we wouldn't have needed Redding in the pen. I think the time in the pen only contributed to the negativity about him. We should have sent him to AAA two months ago at least and given him an opportunity to get his act together.

Redding has a confidence problem. He loses confidence and he starts getting behind or it happens the other way around. His control slips and he usually gives up a bunch of runs all at once. That is a sign of a guy that can pitch physically, but doesn't have his head screwed on right. Hopefully, management can find a way to fix it. But, who knows.

Now, whoever is responsible for the clubhouse comments ought to take a beat down. I don't care if they are vets or not (or if they are pulling their weight). You just don't do that crap to fellow players. At least not on a team that wants to win. The result of that kind of mentality is that everyone starts looking around.

This crap started about the time of Williams' firing and carried over. You guys know who started it? GERRY HUNSICKER! Anyone remember his nasty comments about players when Williams was fired? Odd when you see guys attacking there own, but usually its starts from the top.
