Bad baseball moves by Dusty today: 1. Batting Yordan Alvarez 5th. He's our best hitter and needs to be at the plate in the 1st inning to set the tone AND if he's batting higher in the order, he gets an extra at bat in today's 9th inning. Batting him 5th is indefensible. Dusty did the same thing with Barry Bonds and the Giants fans thought he was a moron. He has not learned his lesson. 2. Maldonado playing. Maldonado batting in the 8th with the tying run on base. 3. Yainer Diaz not in the lineup after supplying the offense yesterday and generally being on a tear. He should play DAILY -- either C, DH, or 1B. 4. Kessinger playing first base -- he's a middle infielder. Putting him at 1B makes no sense defensively OR offensively. Just bizarre. Pena is struggling and either Kessinger or Dubon could have played SS to relieve him and get their playing time. All of us knew that we put out a weak lineup today. And what do you know, we get 2 hits all game, with one of them being a bloop. A very predictable result of a bad lineup put forth by Dusty. And somehow, despite this being Verlander's first game back, the team looked flat. This is also something Dusty contributes to.
Rangers are a better offensive team than us. would love to have a consistent order that doesn’t have Peña in the 2 hole. Altuve Bregman Alverez Tucker Abreu Diaz Chas Peña Maldy would be ideal.
It must suck as a hitter knowing your manager won't ever have your back when umps bend you backwards all game. Dusty calls that "respecting the game".
We have 50 games left, and Dusty is still ****ing around with batting lineups. It's a complete joke at this point.
Rangers outcomes wouldn't matter if Dusty didn't throw away games with his feelings. He is Arlington's MVP
Bochey and the Rangers are playing with urgency with the division lead. Dusty is putting out Spring Training line-ups.
Nothing I've seen from the Rangers have showed that they're playing above their heads. Offense is just straight up explosive. They have plenty of pitching. Most important..they have a 3x WS Series winning manager Bochey who is rationale and level-headed. It took him way less time to win 3 than it took Dusty to win 1.
