That's quite the rebuttal. As much as I have not enjoyed many posts on here I have never told anyone to be a MAN. I'm sorry you feel you have to defend yourself by attacking me. All good bro carry on wish your piss stained trousers narrative. I will leave it at that.
I think Astros are trying to add Nimmo and/or Raley to the deal with Verlander. More of a hunch, but adding Nimmo immediately makes every OF prospect available. This gives us the chance to make another big trade. Snell or Cease? Mets shedding cap to offer Ohtani the bag next year. That's the only reason they are selling IMO.
Not sure But when someone is succeeding in a situation i'm not sure why so many want to bang their heads against the wall wishing him to go back to where he hasn't succeeded In any case, he ain't gonna be traded unless it's a deal for Cease/Anderson
They were my favorite AL team as a kid in the mid/late 70s till 2000. I met U L Washington (toothpick in tact) in Oklahoma at a Dixie League game my childhood best friend was playing in (die hard Yankee fan, his dad named him after Mickey Mantle). I had already picked KC as my favorite team just because he was a Yankee fan and one day the game if the week was NY vs KC, I was already raised to hate the Yankees since the bought all the players. U L was cool and that sealed the deal for me and George Brett became my favorite player. He hated the Yankees just like me. Royals have been a mess for nearly every season since 2000 except when they got Crush City and Hinch. Ok now lets get a good trade.
The Astros don't want Nimmo. It is possible that the Astros will try to get Raley added, he somewhat fits a need the Astros have for a reliever - but right now their offer is light just for Verlander, so I don't think the Mets will want to throw in another player as well. There is a chance that if the Mets pay a lot of Verlander's contract and throw in Raley and pay him - that the Astros will pony up better prospects. The Mets were open when it came to next year. Cohen has said the money he spent, he views as sunk cost. So when Scherzer wanted out, he has started moving his players under contract out for prospects.... IMO when you have nearly endless money, it is a really smart play. If he deals Verlander, he is likely to come out of all of this with some really nice prospects.
It's my understanding that the Negro League has not been operational since 1960. Their youngest prospect would be in the 78-80 yrs of age range.
I wouldn’t mind Houston taking on Narvaez as a 3rd C (13th position player) this year who can back up Diaz next year.
As long as they keep the 21 and under prospects and add to them in the draft, international signings they will be fine.
Do you know if it is against contract or collective bargaining for JV to announce he will only waive NTC for Astros? Or to tell crane that he will hold fast until an hour before deadline, but then he will say ok to a dodgers trade?
This is going to be one extreme or the other kind of deadline for the Astros. Massive groundshattering deal or absolutely nothing of significance. Do not see a middle ground right now.
As in place him in the 9 hole where they can't pitch around him and let Altuve drive him in with this scenario 2B Altuve 3B Bregman RF Tucker LF Alvarez CF McCormick DH Brantley (Don't laugh) 1B Abreu C Diaz SS Pena
