Anyone watching this game? God the trukish refs blow. Also the crowd gets pissed at the US cause their players are soft. Some dude hurt himself trying to block a boozer dunk, and the crowd booed. WTF. International competition is a joke.

if its a joke then why are we having trouble beating teams that dont qualify, obviously its not a joke, and btw, international ball, international ruling is how baskebtall is realy suppose to be played, your suppose to have finesse, and athleticism, not just athleticism.

Lebron touched one of the guys noses and he fell onto the floor, weak stuff..

though they rain threes from half court as iftheir life depended on it

The international game isn't any more how "basketball is really suppose to be played" than the NBA game. Some might say that you're supposed to have an inside game too instead of just packing in the zone and firing up 3's like they were going out of style.

Yeah, people get poked in the eye all the time in basketball. You stop the game, hold your eye, and walk off the court to recover. This guy fell writhing on the floor and stayed there for 5 minutes, like someone just gouged his eye out.

That guy getting hurt from receiving a facial was sad too. Definitely a soft team.

Exactly. Zoning up on d and firing 30+ 3-pointers a game shouldn't really be considered "how basketball is really supposed to be played".

I should rephrase. I was more pissed off at the hostile crowds and the POS pro-home ref-ing. I agree that the US needs to inphasize fundamentals like shooting and not-traveling...but in other games the refs were calling fakes and torso movement as travelling. Athens is going to be infuriating.

just wondering why teams are shooting so many threes, wouldn't that mean the defense is leaving them open??

well in turkey's case they just start shooting farther and farther out once the D gets better throughout the game. they pretty much shoot 3's and if that isn't working they just shoot some more 3's.

these guys are launching threes from everywhere! they're at least 10 feet from the 3point line, its crazy! In fact that one guy who got poked in the eye was shooting threes from everywhere and LeBron James came rushing towards him trying to strip the ball but got him in the eye

James and Anthony are absurdly overrated as to how good they are right now. A player like Redd would have been a better selection than either of them. Their decision making abilities deserve a D- at best.

international competitian being a joke is a stupid and bad comment right there. thats crap, they are catching up.

HOWEVER, the refs are blatantly against us, and that sucks. its embarassing to international basketball, which is fine except for the refs.

serbia, germany, italy...all teams i was ok with. this turkey team? a bunch of pusses. they are writhing on the ground like theyve been shot if they get a little hurt and whine to the officials every trip down the court. theyre worse than the frickin utah jazz. ugh.

I wish he were where he belongs: not on the team. If not there, then the 2nd best place for him is firmly on the bench. His lack of skill is truly amazing, for someone who scores fairly frequently. He reminds me of a poor-man's Shawn Kemp.
