2024 Blazer 2LT AWD pricing announced at $56,715. Willi qualify for $7500 tax rebate.
    https://electrek.co/2023/07/31/2024-chevy-blazer-ev-prices-range-revealed/

Also news that the lower spec Blazer 1LT that is suppose to come out at $45k is cancelled
    https://insideevs.com/news/679564/chevrolet-kills-base-45000-usd-blazer-ev-1lt-trim/
Cheapest Blazer will be the 2LT RWD version due out next year.

This is bad news for those who were hoping for a $30k Equinox EV that GM announced last year.

With the news that the Bolt will be eventually brought back with Ultium battery, it's clear that GM is going to move the prices up market.
    Bolt - $30k to $40k
    Equinox - $40k to $50k
    Blazer - $50k to $60k
    Lyriq - $60k+

I kinda dig the looks of the Blazer, but by "cheapest version", did you mean the 2LT FWD? They don't have a 2LT RWD version, do they? I figure that would be the cheapest one. These kind of prices may make it easier to stick with an ICE for my next car. lol.

On another note, GM seems to be option-happy just like on their ICE cars. I find it kind of bizarre that you can get the RS version in FWD, RWD, or AWD. At least that's what I recall. I mean seriously, wth. LOL. Oh well... have it your way, I guess. :D

Oops! You're right. The cheapest will be the 2LT FWD. It's so hard to keep track of which EVs are FWD and RWD now!

Yeah ok, they come up with these stupid prices and then lower it and say the demand is not there.

    Toyota is dead they said.

Toyota's profits rise 78% on strong sales as the parts crunch eases

TOKYO -- Toyota’s profit for the first fiscal quarter jumped to 1.3 trillion yen ($9 billion) — a quarterly record for Japan’s top automaker — as sales grew and parts shortages related to the coronavirus pandemic eased.

Toyota Motor Corp.’s April-June net profit rose 78% from 736.8 billion yen the previous year, the company reported Tuesday. Quarterly sales edged up 24% to 10.5 trillion yen ($74 billion) as vehicle sales improved on-year across major markets, including Japan and North America.

I wonder if the results CR got are generally true or they just happened to be unlucky and get "the bad one". I knew winter driving ranges suffered, but those numbers for all makes are putrid. lol. That being said, while I love cold weather, I don't think I'll be out driving in 16 degree weather, either.

That article is from last year. Here's an article from just a few days ago. He has passed 1 million miles.

    https://www.autoevolution.com/news/...what-is-wrong-with-tesla-s-motors-218870.html

It's on its third battery pack (though maybe the third battery pack has a million KM) and "11th or 12th motors"

I am super impressed that the frame hadn't rotted out, less impressed by the motors.

I have experience with Tesla shitty service but the estimated driving range was never too far off. I think I have that feeling because I got used to the range and the limits of electric. The problem isn't with Tesla but more of an issue of any electric car. Cold weather saps the battery on two fronts. First the battery has to warm itself and second your interior heater will drain the battery as well. Additionally, driving in wet weather or if you have any kind of incline will sap the battery faster than expected too.

Maybe Tesla overestimates a bit more than others but I know the Ford Lightning definitely wasn't hitting it's projected range either.

It's a truck. I can live with it being ugly/quirky/boxy/toyish. I doubt most people looking to buy trucks buy one for its looks. I certainly didnt when I put my deposit in.

I definitely had looks in mind when I placed a deposit for Lotus Emira though. That and 6 speed manual transmission. :D
