Read my whole post. He’s been serviceable when needed. I’m not saying he’s some stud that should be counted on in the playoffs.

That seems like a really good trade for the Rangers. Ouch

I'm in Indiana. I've seen Montgomery pitch in person and he's solid. Cards got fleeced

The rough equivalent of the Montgomery/Stratton return for Houston would have been Gilbert, Loperfido, and Misael Tamarez. I would not have wanted Houston to give up that much. But the Rangers have a much deeper farm at the top than the Astros so even though the gave up a ton, it likely won’t be that devastating for them.

I’m assuming Eovaldi’s injury is serious otherwise the need for Montgomery isn’t really there.

Ok, now I’m pissed off. Dana Brown either do something or quit your ****ing job.

Rangers trades probably secure them as a playoff team, but doesn’t move the needle towards winning playoff series.

The Rangers have made the commitment to get better and win.

Julks in the game, so he's obviously not being traded

Scherzer, Montgomery, and gray could absolutely win a playoff series.
That's not even counting on eovaldi

Who was the equivalent of Gilbert? I don't see any of those guys on any top 100 lists?

Y’all crack me up. I’m with y’all, totally want Dana to make at least one or two moves to address the rotation/bullpen. BUT, we still have two days until the deadline! Let’s not act like Dana has to make a move right this minute. Most moves will happen tomorrow and Tuesday.
And no, lineup decisions today don’t mean anything about whether or not a player is getting traded. Still two more days!

That being said, Rangers have clearly upgraded so I do believe Dana needs to respond, but criticizing him and Crane despite the fact there’s 48 hours remaining until the deadline is pretty funny.
