That is what I really question. If by some miracle Brantley comes back, it will be a real travesty starting Maldy. Same would be true is we acquired another bat. With the current lineup, I'm not opposed to starting Maldy 50-60%, but come postseason, I hope he's the backup. There is nothing he is doing on the field well enough to make up for being a zero at the plate.
You don't get to pull this type of BS when you have a .549 OPS. I haven't played baseball in 15 years but if you penciled me in to hit instead of Maldonado today, I guarantee you that I could go 0-3 too.
the only reason martin has a job and get playing time is because of johnnie baker. if this was any manager, martin wouldn't be on a mlb team.
But if you question Dusty, you get the backlash from the Texan fan transplants that once defended everything Bill O Brien did
I did read somewhere that Julks and Myers are being held out of the game due to possible trades … so that makes some sense. But Maldy in the lineup again _ ack
Dubon hasn't played in CF at all this year and McCormick is in left. This is a strange move right before the deadline
But if you question Dusty, you get the backlash from the Texan fan transplants that once defended everything Bill O Brien did Dusty genuinely believes Chas is an inferior CFer based on last year's usage
Dusty is beloved only outside of the fan bases of teams he has managed. He wears out his welcome everywhere he goes.
THREE of the FIVE high leverage guys (including Graveman) are rested. Hopefully Neris and Pressly don't play again until Wed or Thurs.... and we keep winning. WTF does Urquidy return? Where's Blanco? Framber probably needs to be skipped 2-3 turns thru Verlander sounds nice
