Sounds like he may have an anomalous coronary situation where two coronary arteries have the same origin. Unfortunately it’s happened to more than a few athletes. He may need surgery.

The anti-vaxx crowd out in full force on twitter, these guys would cheer on a death if it furthered their agenda.

Has this been reported, or are you speculating?

Of course it could be that, but it could be a multitude of things. And the speculation will run wild until it is confirmed.

Eff the basketball, I'd that's what it comes to. Dude is set. Can have a huge impact without basketball if that's what has to be.

I guarantee this (anomalous coronaries) and HCM have been evaluated for if this happened yesterday.

Pure speculation at this point. Of course Bronny has the right to patient privacy but these cases with young athletes having heart attacks often anomalous coronaries are the cause. HIPPA laws may prevent us from ever knowing but I’m pulling for the young man to recover and live a full life. He doesn’t need basketball, His family is financially set for many lifetimes. I just want see him recover from this and prosper.

That's going to take a huge dump on his draft position.

I remember that quite vividly and it was sick to watch, just like it is weird seeing people go directly to it now. It could just be a Hank Gathers situation

Bring Bronny to a Houston Methodist cardiologist and see if he's fixable. Too young and too premature to write off the kid's basketball future.

It's so anti-logical and brain-dead to statistics. Sad, but predictable.

I mean, there's probably a much stronger correlation between wearing a certain brand of underwear or drinking red bull to a young person having a cardiac problem. But you know, humans gonna human. Thinking is hard.

Are there statistics on cardiac events pre and post-vaccine? There was a fuss about myocarditis but is

That has got to be hard to tease out from the effects of Covid itself, too, although they were able to tease out the risks with myocarditis

Thank God he's safe. LeBron must keep him away from basketball until he is completely healthy.

Yes, all that data's available, and COVID's much more likely to cause heart damage than a vaccine. And you're correct that it's hard to separate b/c everyone on the planet has probably had at least one asymptomic or mild case by now.

And I didn't mean to derail, but the internet kind of derails everything now. Maybe best for the COVID thread in D&D, unfortunately.

I think Australia / New Zealand should have some interesting data on the risk ratios from vaccine to covid as they had mass vaccination well prior to the significant disease outbreak, as we discussed before my scientific literacy has uh, a ton of room for improvement. The curiosity is there though

It's not an agenda, it's statistics. To ignore the statistics and the possibilty without serious research IS the agenda, you realize that?

Look at it this way, the vax companies made billions with exclusive contracts, have the law protect them against lawsuits, at the same time, try their best to not compensate and ignore anyone suspected to be severely injured by their products. Side-effect is common in all of medicine up until now, whereas this particular mandatory one supposedly cannot have any other than some mild ones? The politics is clear here to begin with. And then, data is not always exact*, but the authority can act like they are, that's why it is a good tool to fool people with.

(* inconsistent definition of variables & placebo / arbitrary threshold / regression)
