Nice win. Hated losing even 1 to this minor league team. Anyone else woulda smashed us probably all 4 games. We struggled mightily against the worst team in baseball. Absolutely gotta play much better. P.S. Thanks Doobie
So..... How about replacing Hensley with Singleton? (Feel crazy to even mention Jon) I know he hasn't shown the ability to do much on the mlb level in his career.... But my goodness he's knocking the stitches off baseballs for the spacecowboys. Can't wait for Yordan to return. One can dream of a surprise return for the next big series.
I still don’t know why he should have just automatically swung at that awful pitch just because they called a hit and run? It was a ball in the dirt. Pena certainly gave up on the attempt in frustration but would have taken a super-human effort for him to have fouled that off or put it in play. And as already mentioned, the next pitch doesn’t happen without things happening exactly as they did… EDIT: n/m… pitch wasn’t as bad as I thought it was. He could have made contact, but likely wouldn’t have done much with it.
