    New player profile series: Cam Whitmore has not had an easy journey to Summer League MVP. 2 major injuries before he played a game in high school to another injury before he took the court in college. Negative press before he took the court in the NBA. Now Summer League MVP.

    looking back to when he got drafted and how much he's given himself to this team and city... truly heart warming. what a journey, i will miss him.

    I think we can all say we've grown older and wiser through this incredible journey. I remember when he was drafted like it was just last month.

    It has been remarkable so far.

    What is equally remarkable is that he fell to 20. Those med reports? Bad attitude?
    And they seem to be bogus?
    Well, that info didn't get out there by itself, which means somebody put it out there.
    I wonder who that could have been?
    Whoever stood to gain the most is usually the answer?
    And who was that?

    my sources point toward the nets. they wanted him at 21 and almost got it, but patrick stepped up and swooped in at 20. what a hero.

    If this is legitimate, could there be any league or civil retaliation if they’re unfounded and you can prove they put it out there? Because that could cost him millions. Seems very dirty if they just made **** up to tank his chances of getting picked early.
