Rivian does look like it has better chances than Lucid that’s for sure. It will have to survive the Cybertruck though, which is…

Might have a better chance than Ford the way it's going.

Lucid... dead man walking. just a terrible idea to make a luxury sedan (a dying market). even supercar manufacturers are making SUVs right now and lucid decided to make a big ass sedan.

If the EV trend means that sedans aren't dead, I could eventually get behind it.

maybe the hype cycle is fading a bit.

“2023 is the moment of truth to drive full electrification forward,” said Pedro Pacheco, VP Analyst at Gartner. “The spike in electricity prices in Europe make BEV running costs less attractive, some countries, like the U.K., Switzerland and Australia, are starting to introduce EV taxation. In addition, China ended electric vehicle subsidies at the beginning of 2023 and global charging infrastructure still has many coverage gaps and the average quality of service is poor.”

Half the people in america don't know the diff between your and you're
or could have vs. could of...

we know one thing......ford ain't selling EVs. question is ...is it because their customers don't want EVs? or their EVs suck?

Not to make this political but the church going maga folks are not on board with this EV transition..so it makes me wonder how big the total market is for EVs in America.

Dealerships, not just Ford, are having trouble moving inventory because of inflated prices. They are refusing to change from Pandemic inflation. They were living high on the hog when there were car shortages. Now, people are not buying at those inflated prices. I mentioned the Maverick. It is one vehicle that it will take 6 months to a year to get because of production backlog. Its low starting price was the reason. Ford has raised the sticker price in its 3rd model year, so while a value…it is not the unbelievable value it was before. However, it is still a better option for many not wanting to pay mid-sized or full-sized Truck prices.

Ford is selling EVs, however, all manufacturers are suffering because of overpricing. Dealerships are still marking up vehicles like their are shortages. All manufacturers are dealing with this. Dealerships are the big problem.
