I’d be willing to dangle Pena in a trade for the right starting pitcher. Doobie has outplayed him 20X so far this year. Peña’s defense is (mostly) great, but Doobie isn’t that far behind. And Doobie is a far better hitter. Pena with 2 strikes is hitting like .120. It might be a bit reactionary, but I didn’t miss Pena in the lineup at all the few games he missed before the AS break.

Well my sister kicked me in the nuts when I was 11 and that was more enjoyable than this But it's over. In 162 games something like this happens a few times to every team every year. I'm going to forget it. I expected to win the series 2-1 before it started. Win tomorrow and thats how it ends. The Astros just need to play like they can against an inferior team. How they respond is much more important than losing this game. I hope Framber and Pena are OK. This team can't take any more injuries.
Peña has been a massive disappointment at SS this year, not sure why. Dubon is so much better at 2B than Altuve, that I don't know what to think now.
This team is at a crossroads. Maldy let one of the runs in the 9th score on ANOTHER passed ball. When is the team going to start making starting decisions that prioritize winning and not put the team behind the 8 ball before the game starts. It's hindsight, but why bring Framber out for the 7th? He had already pitched 6 innings, if he gets hurt the season spirals down the drain, 6 run lead, let Kuhnel or Montero pitch the 7th. Especially after the long top of the 7th inning.
I'm worried. It's getting Harder and harder for me to say "it's just Dusty being Dusty. It's fine " This team does not have the margin for error that previous teams did. Yordan and Altuve need to be back for the Texas series. They need to get some pitching.

My dream lineup tomorrow Chas LF Dubon 2B Tucker RF Abreu 1B Julks DH Pena SS Bregman 3B Meyers CF Maldy C Chas now has a higher OB% than any RH hitter on the team And he kills lefties. Diaz is bad vs LHP and Maldy is actually passable. Must PH for Maldy if a run is needed or runners on base when a RH pitcher comes in. Drop Bregman down. He is in a bad slump and can't hit lefties. But maybe his reputation gets Pena better pitches in front of him. I fully expect Dusty to play Diaz at catcher tomorrow, then when he goes 0-4 w/ 2 Ks he will shrug and say "I thought he was the catcher you wanted." And promptly sit him or DH him for the next 10 days.
