I don't understand where Sura gets this title "poor man's Brent Barry" from. He's woefully under par to Brent's offensive skills (FG%, FT%, 3pt%). He doesn't have a big rep as smart ballhandler or assist guy like Brent. But he does play better D, which isn't that tough considering BB hardly puts up any D at all. Just don't get it.

    Charlie Ward????
    Why not John Starks??
Why dont we get Clyde Frazier to replace Cynthia Cooper/Calvin Murphy?
Why dont we just give Spike Lee complimentary seats?
Where's Woody and his daughter/wife Sunghee?

    Charlie Ward???
This is payback for the Rockets sending Moochie and Shandon to the Knicks.

    This is Revenge!

Sura is a very flexible player who can play 3 positions. Ward is a smart PG (unlike the headcase from last year). Where are you hearing about a Mutombo deal? If not him, then who do we trade Pike and Lue for?

the Mutumbo deal is in the Chi news papers over the weekend. Apparently they have no shooting guards and really want Pike - if they can get Mutombo to agree not to retire, then the deal will go through. He has only one year left on his deal - so it is low risk

add in the fact that they are both white, tall, lanky SGs that can play PG - I think you just answered your own question.

Sura is a "poor man's" Barry because he is not quite as good offensively but plays the same style and has the same body type

He's much better than all of those guys... Well, except for Scott Brooks.

    Scotty's the man :D

But c'mon. Jamerson played for the Jazz one year, didn't he? And Price had one good year with the Bullets, and that's it. That was his career, basically.

    Hmmm....

Well, I think I said "poor man's JON Barry". A high-energy bench player that can play SG (or in a pinch, PG) that drives well, can shoot from the outside, moves the ball around, and plays decent defense. Since Pike didn't really provide much shooting last year (and is a poor defender) I have a hunch Sura will be a decided improvement over last year's backup SG. Other backups include Posey and Hawkins. If Sura is closer to what Posey contriobuted (than Pike and Hawk) then I will be pretty happy.

Sura and Ward are both easily as good as the other guys most of you wanted us to sign (i.e. DJ, daniels, m James, etc).

Yep, that's the Bobby I saw at Golden State. Good signing as long as he comes off the bench.

Nice, solid role player pickups, IMO.

All we need now is Keon Clark and we should be fine for this year.

Except he isn't 300 years old and has a little more agility.
