Thing is, you can blame a lot of Jalen's and KPJ's negative stuff on Silas, who was unbelievable bad with his X's and O's. It is also entirely possible that because of Silas, KPJ looked as if he has the IQ of dried up dog poop, but the fact that the Rockets got him basically for free, gave him the friendliest contract that they could have given and still, no one is willing to give the Rockets a bag of doritos for him should tell you something about him. Same thing with Green if he doesn't end up being being better than KPJ.

The good news is that the Rockets now have a good coach who i fully expect to maximize KPJ's talents and i know he could be special, just like Green.

I've said KPJ needs to improve and I would be fine with getting rid of him and Green.

Kpj stans always like comparing green to kpj. It would b strange if a 4 year vet isn't better than a 2 year player. That's like comparing a 4th grader to a 2nd and getting excited that the 4th is "better".

They are separated by 2 draft classes, they aren't the same.

I think it's hard to gauge kpj actual skill ceiling bc he wasted a 2 seasons failing to become a pg. All that just to get replaced by fvv.

Kpj stans alway like to compare players by age which is quite stupid. U compare them by years of experience. If u still struggle to do that, it's pointless hearing u btch about green fanbois bc u fail to accept that age in basketball doesn't represent a players skill level as well as actual years of experience at the game.

I do think it's productive that at least you guys are admitting that last season KPJ was the better player, that's some small honesty we can build on.

 

Ex:
A 21 year old with 1 year of work experience is not the same as a 21 with 3 years of work experience. Imagine that folks at the same age can have different level of experience

Now a 21 with 1 year of experience is not the same as a 23 year old with 3 year of experience. Even though they are close in age, they have different amount of experience. What a simple concept u kpj stans fail to understand.

Using nba starts as a way to justify comparing players in different draft class years is just goal post moving after realizing that it's asinine to compare players simply age to age.

Green in his second year is doing better in my eyes to when kpj was in his second year. That's good news to the Rockets Fandom.

Btching that a 2nd year is Inferior to a 4th year player just to push your anti green narrative really has no purpose.

 

This discussion is so hilarious to me lol. KPJ was a little better than Jalen last year but not by some crazy margin. Jalen's trajectory his first two years is clearly better than KPJ's first two years which anyone can see looking at advanced stats. Last year there wasn't some chasm between them. Based on this trajectory, Jalen will likely surpass KPJ within two years but nothing is set in stone.

No use for all this hang wringing when we'll see it play out in a few months smh.

 

Depends... if he's a one dimensional guy it depends on how good he is at that one thing.

KPJ being better is offset by an older age and bigger contract... even if not guaranteed...

 

Tell that to Ja Morant..... They both are part of the equation. KPJ has issues on and off the court.
