Youre right Sengun rated a +1 at defense last season. He is nowhere near as bad as some of the people on this board try to make him out to be. Our two worst defensive players last year were Jalen and KMJ by far and Jabari was pretty bad too but he was a rookie so I give him a pass. Christian Wood is a -1 at defense and a pretty selfish player. He wouldnt fit here.

This right here. Houston Deke would have a chance to average 5 blocks a game if he had to cover for our perimeter defenders last season.

My takes from game 2...

- I like Jabari's aggression on offense. He's not afraid to take the ball to the rim and while his handles can get tighter, they're much better than last year. He's got a nice mid-range game to compliment his 3pt shooting, that turnaround is sweet! Also, he's seeing the court well and making smart passes, that TD pass was awesome!! Very pleased with his first two games in SL, especially tonight playing against Duran and Wiseman.

- Tari and Brooks give us 2 junkyard dawg defenders, that Eason has continued his relentless hustle and aggression on both ends in SL just solidifies him as one of my favorites. His drive and dish to Bari for the dunk was nice! Our forward rotation is looking good and when you consider...

- Cam shot soooo much better this game and the arc on his shot is pristine. That one long three on a step back was butter, really nice to see him gain confidence. But what was really encouraging was his hustle, steal/slam he made after a turnover was exactly how you want to see a young player respond from adversity. He also seemed to not force shots like game one and actually made some nice passes.

- Ok, @Haymitch you were right Huff is a dud.

- Ben Sullivan is doing a nice job with the team. We look prepared to play and we're playing pretty damn well. Good job coach!

- I'm glad we got Amen. Ausar was supposed to be the better shooter. I didn't see it.

I know its SL, but damn its nice to enjoy watching games again and not cringing every other possession. I know in the big scheme these games are not critical, but they're giving our young guys a real chance to develop some confidence and get back into a winning mindset, as well as getting use to the coaches and system. Great game!

 

Can we bring Von Wafer back?

Trade KPJ and send Jalen Green to the WNBA.

 

I'm pleased with Cam and Jabari. Tari is valuable, he needs to work with Sullivan on improving his jumper.

Christian Wood can't even get a team to give him the MLE right now.

If Sengun became a UFA he'd make 20 mill at the minimum.

Big fan of Sengun but his defense was Def pretty bad. That's why Bari was yelling to take him out at one point last season.
