Confusing. We are paying him more? At the Summer League, Brooks did not sit with his new teammates?

Brook is good but he is not worth this much and why did we sign Landale? We need a shot blocker….

Common sense seems to be short supply in the FO. I would quote Voltaire except the general reaction here (from reasonable fans), recognize the bad moves from the jump.

There's no galaxy brain 10-D chess being played here. Just a result of lack of contingency and a dose of panic. Stone's hope is at least the moves made already are enough.

This is why the grade is a C or D (again passing). When you have this amount of money to throw at players; you get at least some stuff done.

    • Won FVV
    • Lost Lopez
    • Got Dillion (but jeebus)
    • Landale and Jeff Green are fine, but I weight these much less than the first three, because of their roles on the team.

In the end, main hope is the young core (what's left of it) take a big step forward.

By this time next week Brooks' contract will be a 6 year Super-Max.

FVV makes sense, we need to spend money on a veteran PG.

We threw money at Lopez, also made sense, but he opted to stay with the Bucks

What in the **** is Stone doing paying Brooks this much for this long. Did he even have another team wanting to sign him???

The added pay for Brooks is Def a head scratcher. If we weren't punting these 3 yrs waiting for Green and Co. to grow up I'd be pissed AF. I hope Stone gives an explanation like some other team was out to get him or what cuz this makes zero sense.

Why we paying Shanghai Sharks Brooks even more money? Hell I'd take Tari Eason over Brooks straight up.

    Stone turns Rockets into charity.

Any scrubs can get tons of money here.

Stone perfectly shows what a horrible NBA GM should be like.

I think he does... I without a doubt think he's more than adept at being on his knees in front of daddy Tilman.

And we thought it might actually be less than 80 and hoped Stone had some Morey in him….massive screw up. I bet if they had put this type of contract in front of Lopez, we would’ve had him. But no, we went for the cringe delusional patient. Worst FA overpay I can remember for the Rockets.

I hope Udoka is as good with players as they say. DB acting like a fool will be hard to watch. If he can tone it down and just play great D then I think we'll get over it.

His skillset is better suited for a veteran team or a seriously contending team, this is just a circus but I got over it.

The West will be more competitive with him and Fred VV in it.

This deal is a real head scratcher. Not getting him, but whom the hell were we even bidding against? And the deal just keeps getting worse?!

    I can see the incentives.....

Millions for fewer Ejections and Technicals.....

More millions for him to not show up at Summer League obviously.

If only he could shoot 34 percent from three I would feel so much better about this insane contract. I don't have that much hope he will play any different from how he did in Memphis, but maybe Sullivan can at least get him shooting better.
