I'm OK letting Stone run the draft side, but he's not a legit NBA GM on the roster management side.

Or... what if it's Patrick doing the drafting? Or... what if Stone is already in charge of the drafting and Patrick is making the trades?

I guess it doesn't make any difference. We still need a real GM regardless and as long as Patrick is around it will be hard to get one.

Or what if they just draft based on what social media tells them to draft?

    Here's some tape

I've seen him listed at 6'9" some places, 6'10" others, not sure if that's with or without shoes or what the deal is. He's an athletic, switchable, good rebounder type who can't shoot and doesn't have that much of a post game, similar to Capela. Good rim threat in transition and in the pick-and-roll game. Decent but not great shotblocker, not the best instincts in that regard, but has athleticism and length.

I have no idea what the deal is regarding his interest level in playing in the NBA. He's already 27, so given his player profile, he'd better come over soon and get his bag if he ever wants to.

No. We gave away stuff for... well, I'm not sure exactly why.

This trade has the potential to be hung around Stone's neck for a long time to come

I don’t know if Tilman has the guts to fire him which would be him admitting the failure of hiring an ex-lawyer with no GM experience. But if Stone happens to get fired, he’s never sniffing another GM job again.

Ok so just to confirm ... We used draft picks to give away players, then used picks to give away another player, then the team we gave away a player to traded that player for the players we gave away and got more picks back ... Just so we can give Brooks 86mil?

Yes. Ruffle Stone and Patrick Fertitta had the war room firing on all cylinders at the start of free agency.
