All good reasons to get equipment for your home, where you can pick your nose and wipe it off on your nuts all day long.
It's been a while since I worked out in a gym (my garage power rack is the best thing I've ever bought), but I think this is contextual. I never had a problem letting other regulars work in since we knew each other and maintained a mutual respect. Gyms that attract a more dedicated crowd (not PF) seem to have an understanding that everyone is there to put in some work so it's not a big deal to let somebody work in if you're taking 2-3 minutes in between sets.
