He's not exactly David Robinson when it comes to muscle definition, but good God, Yao looks like he has practically doubled in size since he came into the league. Can someone post that pic above next to his rookie pic? While I realize that the majority of it is probably fat, he now has more than adequate upper body mass to completely dominate the paint. This can and should no longer be used as an excuse for his shortcomings. It's now all about his attitude and conditioning. He absolutely has to want to demolish teams because all of the tools are there. No more excuses heading into the 3rd year.
Why no one said that when I posted the same links long before in the diamond ball thread. This thread deserves to be locked.
to this Also, a good article on ESPN about Yao's first wokout in Chicago. http://espn.go.com/nba/columns/aldridge_david/1376921.html
This is awesome! Any chance we will be able to do this with rockets games next season. I cant get league pass
The picture could be a little deceptive, since Yao is trapping somebody's hand under his biceps, which is why the muscle there looks so big. Try it yourself: when you squeeze a hand between your arm and your chest, your flattened biceps look about twice as big as they really are.
Here's a progression of pics China 2002 Rookie Year Look how much shorter Hakeem is, he's probably standing there thinking I could school this guy. Last Year This year
