This is true. I also wonder if Sengun being "slow-footed" might be a little overstated. To me, he looks more nimble laterally than his two comps, Jokic and Sabonis. He's also a better shotblocker than people think he is. He's not by any means a great rim protector, but he did rank #24 among centers in blocks per game. He can get up there a little bit. The times when he looked worst defensively were when a really strong, Jonas type of center was bullying him, or when he had to defend a quick guard on the perimeter, which is a tough situation for most centers. I don't think he is a good defender (sorry ATW), but I also don't think anyone else on the team last season was either, and I don't think most guys his age are good defenders yet unless they're defensive phenoms. I'm not ready to permanently write him off as a liability on that end. If he really did grow to around 7-foot, I could see him being somewhere around Pau Gasol on defense eventually. Basically, solid-average to a bit above, sometimes getting abused in the PnR game, but very playable. I also think something like Pau is his ceiling as a scorer (with more three pointers and fewer midrange shots because it's the 2020s). As a passer, he should be better than Pau.
FVV's feet can be as fast as they want, he still aint creating as much lateral movement as Jalen no matter how hard he tries. People really need to stop underselling Jalen's athleticism, it's as silly as underselling Sengun's post play, that's his "special attribute." There's literally one other person on the roster comparable to Jalen and that's Amen, though Amen's by far the more explosive of the 2 compared to Jalen's agile smoothness (think prime Westbrook vs Drexler.)

I could not care less what happened on the Grizzlies. Lowe was just pointing out the truth that was obvious to anyone who paid attention the last few years. Your boy Silas is now with the Pistons. You should go support him there. An added bonus for you is they do not have Sengun. I think you would be much happier there.
