"But we're not going to let them rig the election of 2024." It has eaten at him for years, that the majority of Americans didn't vote for him as their President. His ego is just too big for him to ever admit he's a loser.
What trump has revealed is that there is a significant segment of the US population that is (1) too stupid to discern between truth and lie, (2) has no interest in discerning and believes what it wants to believe, or (3) both 1 and 2. What is terrible is that this will not change after Trump is jailed, fades away, or dies. This revelation is an opportunity that will be exploited over and over by the next Trump. I wish it were otherwise, but I don’t think this is fixable. One cannot persuade someone who refuses to listen or use their brains.
I agree completely. Even if Trump is arrested, there are far too many other Republicans who are now using fear mongering, propaganda, and lies to incite their supporters. Election denial has become their Trump echo when they lose. Deny and deflect. It wouldn't work if their supporters simply researched the facts or used their brains. They just take the info as gospel. It's interesting how gullible they can be, regardless of how ridiculous the propaganda and lies are. Trump can't ever open his mouth without lying at least once or twice. Those followers can't possibly be so stupid to believe that his crimes are OK, and he's the victim. Then again, maybe they are that brainwashed from the repeated lies out of Trump's mouth.
