    So Clutch just clarified on Rocketswatch that we had to make moves to go after Lopez, similar to the Bosh signing where we were forced to give up Lin, add a FRP, and then Bosh deal didn't go through. Don't know how close it was for Lopez, but "TyTy and Garuba were casualties".

    This explains what reeked of desperation and thank god it was not for Brooks and that we were really aggressive for Lopez until the very end.

    This doesn’t make any sense. Why would they make moves without a handshake deal in place?

    Well why didn't they make a grandfather offer to Lopez then? Reports were the Rockets offer was compstitive with the Bucks they should have offered 30M-Max if they were clearing all this cap.

    Garuba and Tyty cleared liked 4M of capspace. That isn't exactly a lot that's the dumbest thing about this trade.

    If it ends up forcing the Rockets' hand to feature Sengun more, it will be a blessing in disguise. Just train him to improve on defense.

    Garuba would have had a nice spot on this team too. Pretty crazy if that's actually what happened and the Rockets were that careless.

    I really appreciate you posting this. I hope @Clutch will post related information and whatever else has been going down once this apparent “3-4 team deal” actually takes place, assuming it does. I’m sure he’ll sum up his take eventually.
