I think the hope was/is that Bari could become the equivalent to AG.

Van Vleet could be the equivalent to Murray.

And that doesn't yet count all our other assets.

If Shaq didn't foul out against Hakeem he wouldn't foul out against Sengun.

Top unguarded catch and shoot players on the roster now.

    Dillion Brooks = 1.17 PPS
    Fred VanVleet = 1.35 PPS
Kevin Porter Jr = 1.21 PPS
    Jalen Green 1.17 PPS

So your plan is to write “7’0” next to the 6’9 guy’s name?

Al Horford. Career 37.4% on threes (44.6% last year) and averages 1 block per 30min. has made it to NBA finals and dealt with young talented rosters in Boston and OKC.

Al's surprised me the last couple of years. Thought he was done. But now...wouldn't want to the chance of him falling off the cliff here.

Im over the moon with excitement! I’m just wondering who will get the blame when this team continues to be a terrible shooting team? I can see it now - “pure” PG makes a great read, pass and then CLANK! Or flip the action with Sengun he breaks down the D makes anticipatory passes to a wide open FVV or Brooks and CLANK! Backups may need to focus on scoring while starters keep games close.

fair but he’s making less than 20M total over next 2 years and intent would be for him to backup 4&5 so could keep his minutes to 20-30 per night.

Yeah you are right, he fouled Hakeem 2 times that game which my point still stands. I just could've worded it better. My intention is it is not like Shaq had foul trouble going against Hakeem... which if he didn't have foul trouble against Hakeem he wouldn't against Sengun who isn't in the same stratosphere

Precisely, that is why we got ourselves a god shooter in Dillon Brooks, a 32% pct 3 point shooter.

    Yay.

Sullivan should get paid 20 million now to put up with that guy.

Clanks are bound to happen, but like I said don't b too surprised that with an actual pg and Coach, that our offensive rating wouldn't b dead last. It's like there's a positive effect to offense when u have an actual pg + coach

I've stated this before, 3pt shooting doesn't equate to shooting, it equates to range. Being a good shooter is harder than being a 3 pt shooter. Nobody would ever say Dream,Duncan,Robinson,, Garnett, or Ewing weren't good shooters. At the time, bigs didn't shoot 3's, so their range was about 20 ft. They were good shooters, just not range shooters. The reason Green and some of those guys listed arent good 3 pt shooter is because they lack shot discipline. Demarr Derozen isn't a good 3pt shooter, but he's a good shooter because he has shot discipline. At some point players must understand and coaches also that everyone doesn't have to hoist up a bunch of 3s to be efeective. Now its a good tool if you can hit it at a decent clip, but that doesn't mean it has to be 80% of your shots. That's part of the problem with the nba right now. Everyone doesn't have a Steph or Klay as shooters, but everyone wants to shoot 3s like them. Its really about being able to exploit matchups. If a player is just a standstill 3 point specialist, he's easier to guard than a guy who can mix it up. In the finals, we witnessed Aaron Gordon abusing the smaller player in the post game 1. Nobody ever said Gordon was a good post scorer, but he took advantage of those guy he had 6" over. Jabari needs to be able to do some of that. Jalen problems are far more worse imo.

A while back I did a summary list of all the starting center's height in comparison to sengun. Man was like right dab in the middle. Average basically. It's not the end of the world if he isn't your dream center of 7ft tall as long as he his does job which is basically copies what jokic does for his team according to the sengunatics

I think shooting is a premium in the NBA but having a defense helps you win overall. KPJ is a very good shooter, he is a great catch and shoot player. FVV is a all star and a world champion who might not be a great shooter but he is a clutch shooter. Two years ago, he was a ALL STAR with that same FG%, he was one of the leaders on that championship team who made many clutch shots against Golden State in that series. If we get another shooter who spot is he going to take? We have great defenders right now, FVV and Amen putting pressure on the ball, especially Amen being 6’7. Brooks being a defensive specialist protecting the perimeter. However, we need a rim protector to stop the layup drills on our team in the 4th quarter. What shooter can he get? Trade? What asset can we trade for? KPJ is our best shooter on the team and we cannot trade him
