Denver never really worried about adding a "lob threat" or "rim protection" behind Jokic (or instead of Jokic).

They kept adding the right pieces around him.

    They did ok.

    Follow their blueprint.

Some teams found some in Europe. We missed out on Seth Curry and Reaves.

    Not sure.

Part of it depends on if KPJ can accept more of a catch and shoot role.

One thought - would Memphis want to unload Luke Kennard? He’d fit nicely in the open cap space, is on an expiring deal (team option), and would open a bigger trade exception for them

Grant Williams may be the only viable option left tbh - 3&D better than Brooks in my opinion as a whole.

Yeah, it's too late for that. They already have the guys who are going to take the VAST majority of shots on the team locked in and the entire presumptive starting lineup outside of Sengun is just flat out trash.

We just need to accept that there just won't be any spacing at all, that was never a priority.

Unironically, he'd have been better than signing Brooks.

I am all for good shooters, but I don't want one who gives up as much as he scores on the other end.

If they don’t add another shooter beyond FVV, I’ll be very disappointed. That will mean that we didn’t really address rim protection or shooting this offseason; just the point guard position. That would represent an objective failure.

Don’t worry I was told the bad shooting was because of bad passes. That’s fixed so now we’re one of the best shooting teams yay!

Unload KPJ, pour that money on Oubre. Take a flyer on Mo Bamba. Sign George Hill at vet min for veteran leadership and 3rd string PG. Then we have a squad.

FVV is a good shooter and Brooks, while not a sniper, has shot 34% for his career. Most of our improvement needs to come internally from Smith and Green. Adding a mediocre defensive player who can shoot won't help us win games.

Martin,Nix,TyTy,Tate and JC combined to shoot about 28% which was a big part of our shooting woes (aside from the disappointing duo I mentioned). Brooks and FVV are big upgrades over that group.
