Well that’s not good news. Tonight just became as close to a must win as we have had pre-ASG in a long time. Sunday and Monday could be brutal.
Wow. If Framber needs an IL stint or to even skip a turn that's going to mean another AAA starter. In the middle of 13 straight games with 9 left. Can't exactly go with 4 starters. It also means Javier needs to suck it up and pitch 6 effective innings on regular rest.
Wow that’s awful news. Just when things were looking up. Just terrible. Gonna be tough to overcome against the rangers.
It does, but plenty of season left. I remember 2017 and Mike Fiers was keeping the rotation together and the season felt like it was slipping away. Keep faith, friends
1963 all over again? 9 rookie starters? Tuesday vs Colorado at MMP C)Salazar 1B) K.Lee 2B) Bannon SS) Kessinger 3B) J Perez LF) Julks CF) Leon RF) Dirden DH) Diaz P) France's turn. Dirden and Leon need to be added to 40 man. That is accomplished by adding Whitley to the 60 day IL, and DFAing Enoli Paredes. Salazar, K Lee, Bannon, J Perez, Leon, and Dirden need to be added to 26 man roster. Option Madris for 1 spot. Maybe option Meyers for a 2nd? Oh well. No publicity stunts this year. ( FYI I was never serious just an exercise to see if it could be done)
A year ago our starting rotation depth chart was Verlander Valdez McCullers (injured but expected back) Urquidy Garcia Odorizzi For what seems like most of the season, Valdez was the only one left. One out of six. Now it's zero. How disheartening. We've lost 6/5 of the starting rotation for a world championship team and whatever we got in the Odorizzi trade is all we got back. But if we can win this series, we're right in it.
