Blazers are so far away from being an actual winning team and it's not going to get any easier with Dame getting older. I really don't understand the commitment with staying status quo when they really been just good enough to almost be a play-in team the last few years. Doesn't matter who they bring in, it doesn't seem to do much for them.

I think it is the last effort to keep Dame around but I do think internally Blazers FO and Jody Allen know it is time......to get younger.

Imagine Ishbia with the Blazers and he would sell the whole team for KD and Beal.

A lot of owners are just content with being a playoff team, actually I'll say most owners are.

They know they are mediocre and they have been fine with it for a long time now.

In other words he wants to be the man with another all star that doesn't steal shine from him-a more blue collar type all star...and doesn't get in the way of Dame's stats and Dame wants the ball in the 4th and the team also be in the playoffs. So essentially he wants to be traded to the Heat straight up for Butler?
I mean Dame doesn't play D like Jimmy, so some all star role players isn't enough for him to do anything. He's overrated af. Even a team going all in on D around him like Philly did with AI won't work today because that EC of the 2ks was straight garbage and there's more parity today.

Nets have nothing to trade but i would have said Dame with Bridges and Cam works. Knicks are out now that Portland has Scoot and wouldn't want Brunson and why tf would Dame think he and 5'10 Brunson would make noise? Chicago for LaVine or DeRozan? Lateral move-40 wins. Toronto would be a decent fit for what he wants, but they have to trade pieces out and then it doesn't work. FVV sign and trade doesn't work either since Scoot is there. A 3 team trade with Trae Young going somewhere else and Portland getting someone else? Dame and DeMurray? Lateral move-40 wins.

Just give in and demand a trade to a team with a better player than you like Giannis. Sign and trade Middleton and some other pieces. Portland stays young and has enough vets to compete for a Play-In with Scoot getting valuable and fast experience. Basically where the Rockets want to be next year, Portland could immediately be there.

Phili should trade him for Harden straight up.

That would make for a very entertaining season.

Interesting the Sixers aren't mentioned. I would think something like this would work for all teams:

    Sixers: Dame

    Clippers: Harden

    Blazers:
    Maxey
    Covington & Morris (expirings)
    2029 1st (Sixers)
    2028 1st (Clippers)
    24/26/28 pick swaps (Sixers)

The Clippers get Harden for a 1st rd pick and expirings. The Blazers get a young all star caliber guard and multiple picks.

I don't think the Nets will be offering much good young talent, mainly Suns picks that won't be good for a while.
