Such a clear and obvious overreaction. Again…I simply do not understand what some of y’all’s expectations were.

This is false . He is better than you think . We are gonna see major improvement this year especially when we get another vet on this team . Hopefully a great 3 point shooter that can defend

Does anybody know what the structure for the last year looks like? I can’t evaluate this contract unless that’s known. If it’s partially guaranteed, then this is a great signing (not to mention a team option). If fully guaranteed, then obviously it’s flexibility hindering.

FVV is clearly the best player on the team. He should be for that price.

Salaries are based on revenue, not the other way around. NBA teams keep raising prices on tickets, food, merch, etc. and we keep coming. And we keep paying our cable bills in order to watch on TV, which drives most of the revenue. Therefore, NBA salaries keep going up.

    Okay, now that I’m sober…

I had already prepared myself for a max deal in the 3 yr range. Especially once I saw what other contracts were giving out and given what he means to that franchise, this was always going to be an expensive signing.

but good players cost money. FVV is the kind of player you can trust allocating big money to for 3 years. A 2-way player and former all star in his prime. Our point guard position goes from a nightmare to amazing with FVV/Amen/TyTy. There was simply no way of getting around the need for a really good 2-way veteran point guard if we are sticking with Green.

when I think about last year’s backcourt, I get nauseous. Thank god we are pivoting to winning players. Now let’s get that center position locked down!

What happens when Amen is ready to take over after a year?

I really think Amen will be a franchise guy but now stuck behind FVV for 3 years

I don’t see Amen being ready in year 1. In year 2 he gets more playing time. In year 3 FVV plays more off the ball or is traded as an expiring contract.

We have no idea how Green and KPJ look under Ime judging them under Silas is a joke FVV would suck under Silas too.

Someone explain why The Raptors were 41-41 last year
    1. They were trying
    2. They have some better players
    3. They had a Better coach (as many here believe)

    Extensive injuries?

green and jabari project to be good shooters, if they can’t ever shoot then we need to move on from them because it would mean they busted

Barnes regressed vs his rookie year and team construction- they built their team without a center. After trading for Poeltl they went 15-10 to end the year.
