For me, I think it is an overpay, BUT when you have sacked for years, you MUST overpay. If we get 30-40 wins this year, it significantly improves our young prospects and the possibilities for roster moves going forward.

We had to do something in terms of adding vets, a PG was our biggest need, step 1 solved. Next.

It was an overpay but that's just the Tilman tax. Any free agent that signs here will have to be overpaid. That's just how it'll be till we repair our reputation around the league. The fact that we still have 25M to spend on another guys means we can easily afford it.

Good catch OP, I need him to replicate or improve on these numbers to truly justify it. Or if we reach the playoffs all of it will be successful regardless.

Either way, an overpay was okay if we hit our team goals, if he reaches or improves on those numbers that would be great as well.

 

Because he is about as good as he will ever be which is ok, and borderline all star, but not really anything special.

However, we need his leadership, and we overpaid for it, but that is what you have to do to leave tankville USA......I don't like the third year, but it will be an expiring at worse....

Whether a guy is a max guy or not depends not just his skills but also a team's situations. He's a clear max guy for Rockets at this point in time. After 3 years when (hopefully) our younger guys come into their own and establish themselves, we need real big time max guys to hopefully then making deep playoff runs. Right now, we're just trying to establish a direction

 

Most rocket fans would trade Sengun before Green. Sports fans in general are not the brightest bunch.
