It’s nice to give the rangers some doubts over their lead. Beating one of their better pitchers

That was significant. They had to look at this pitching matchup as a bit lopsided.

So yeah extremely big win. Easily one of the biggest of the season.

So every batter in your lineup, 1-9, has an .800 OPS or higher? That don't impress me much.

Yes, a 4 game sweep would include a win tomorrow

I think this would have worked better if it said ‘all i got was this lousy t-shirt,’ with a pic of their unis tonight.

2 runs scored by guys in Dusty's doghouse that don't play enough. That is the difference in the game. When Alvarez comes back, you have to let Diaz catch more, and McCormick needs to play almost everyday. Let Meyers and Julks split time.

    No.
Julks just needs to be on the bench. Meyers should be the everyday center fielder and McCormick the every day left fielder. Meyers is one of the two best defensive center fielders in the AL.

Offense has stabilized even with Julks continuing to play and Maldy continuing to catch. I really don’t think they’ll have a problem once Yordan comes back… and expecting Diaz to still get regular AB’s and Dubon to get into a rotation allowing Altuve to DH. If Brantley comes back in any way/shape/form, pure gravy. This is also with the presumption that Altuve/Bregman/Tucker/Abreu are going to continue their consistent ways that they’ve showcased the last few weeks.

Thus, Brown should really be focusing solely on pitching…

Julks is hitting 35 points higher in BA than Meyers. Has more steals, runs, RBIs.

    Nobody cares about BA anymore.

That said, I love that Julks has contributed. He is absolutely making the most of his opportunity and performing at as high a level as anyone can expect. - He is actually up to 5% below MLB average in OPS

Meyers has had a terrible June. Slumping and not helping the team as much as he could - to fall to 5% below MLB average in OPS.

Julks' overall performance so far is worth 0.7 fWAR and 0.7 bWAR.

Meyers has made 1.5 fWAR and 1.3 bWAR

Despite Julks numbers, Meyers is simply a better ball player who does more to help the team win.
