That's the only way this makes sense, the Rockets are trying to construct the worst shooting team in the modern NBA.

Question for some folks who wanted FVV for 2 but not 3, if FVV wouldn't come here for less than 3 and Brook Lopez said he isn't coming without FVV, would that ease the pain for the 3rd year?

You should become a fan of the team that KPJ gets shipped to next because clearly no one in the NBA (not even his own team) thinks that he is as good as you think he is.

I don't wanna bi.ch about the money it's what it is. Dude is still 28. What you are getting is a 20ppg/7 assists pg which is good enough. He's a team player too. There's not whole lot of pg's we can get anyways.

But to pay him more than Anthony Davis? That's Klay Thompson money...

Teams can't get points off turnovers if you don't turn it over. It's not a wash.

We're also paying for culture. I don't like the amount either, but your other choices are harden or kyrie. This team minimum salary changed the game.

    This is ridiculous.

Amen is a gifted 6'7 athlete. Siakam did plenty of playmaking alongside FVV in Toronto. There is no reason Amen Jalen FVV canot be on court at the same time.

Forget the money, being a cultural changer and leader will change our team.

He's light years better than KPJ in terms of turning the ball over, but they are closer than you'd think otherwise. If that contract doesn't motivate KPJ to improve that particular aspect of his game, I'm honestly not sure what will. In terms of efficiency, they are rated fairly close to each other overall, with the turnovers being the primary difference maker. FVV is simply a much smarter player.

Seems overpaid but guess that's the price of business

At least he has deep playoff experience

You have to overpay to sway guys from other teams, especially when you are the worst team in the league. Assuming Amen/Green/Smith/Sengun are going to grow into something, there is no reason to be selfish with the money.

Definitely don't believe FVV is worth a max, but the price you gotta pay when you been the shittiest team in the league.

Let's hope that we start building that culture at least.

    This is ****ing trash

I actually enjoyed the rebuild. From watching KPJ in the g league to drafting Amen. Watch 75% games over 3 years

    This was a gut punch

In fairness, I'm not mad at FVV for ripping off the Rockets. When you run into a really dumb, really desperate franchise that is a clown show, you SHOULD rip them off for as much as you can.
