    Bush misspeaks during signing ceremony

McClellan: 'This president speaks with clarity and conviction'

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Bush offered up a new entry for his catalog of "Bushisms" on Thursday, declaring that his administration will "never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people."

Bush misspoke as he delivered a speech at the signing ceremony for a $417 billion defense spending bill.

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we," Bush said.

"They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

No one in Bush's audience of military brass or Pentagon chiefs reacted.

The president was working his way toward a larger point. "We must never stop thinking about how best to defend our country. We must always be forward-thinking," he said.

White House spokesman Scott McClellan said Bush's misstatement "just shows even the most straightforward and plain-spoken people misspeak."

"But the American people know this president speaks with clarity and conviction, and the terrorists know by his actions he means it," McClellan said.

I'm doing nothing more than pointing it out because I think it's funny. I'd like to see a video of it if possible too.

LOL! I guessed you're just as dumb as he is. A man who put his country in fear and creates terrorists inside his own country.

It says that he isn't the son of a wealthy and well connected man. America is the only country where a man who was never successful at anything can become our President.

C student in highschool = Yale material

C student at Yale = Harvard Business material

Harvard Business degree = Saudis bailing your failing oil business out

Pulling a Martha Stewart/Ken Lay on your own business = Stake in Texas Rangers

30 year alcoholic haze = Governor of Texas = Supreme Court Chosen President

This guy hasn't earned a thing in his life.

If only I could be as dumb as any American President...

A man who puts his country in fear? Terror threats?...

Creates terrorists inside his own country? Controlled breeding?...Creating terrorists inside his own county...would mean that he is either breeding terrorists or changing the mindset of Americans to that of being a terrorist.

    Please explain....

The quote was taken out of context in the first line of the ap article. The full quote read (if you go on and read in the same article):

"They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

If you read the partial quote in the first line they chop it up to form what they did.

Wasn't the government critisized for not having the "creativity" to think of ways "terrorists" would harm the US?

I don't think DoD would appreciate that. The D&D might be more appropriate.

The President is being critisized about not being wellspoken look at your own sentence. What other country can run an election and they become "our president". Your parallelism is off.

I guess your response is that you're not the President, right?

Wasn't Sadaam elected President of Iraq....or am I wrong. He wasn't rich and connected?

    My original post read:

"And he is the leader of the free world....what does that say about you?"

    in response to:

"Bush is stupid so where's the surprise?"

An election is won by the most electorial votes...which is given by the most votes in the state...what would it say about American voters...they are stupid...obviously so.... better, what does that say about the person he beats?

I'm not saying that Bush was not priviledged, but to say that he is stupid...?

Let just say he cheated in the election and won be a nose? American voters aren't stupid. Misinformed then people and deceiving them to believe that he's the right leader? How about if it weren't for his father? Guessed now people are having second thought about him. Man if people are so blind that doesn't see it mostly to do with the OIL. Why is he so welll hated by so many people and countries? Clinton was NEVER treated this badly.

Please respond to your post that read:
"LOL! I guessed you're just as dumb as he is. A man who put his country in fear and creates terrorists inside his own country."

    Like I said earlier:
"A man who puts his country in fear? Terror threats?...

Creates terrorists inside his own country? Controlled breeding?...Creating terrorists inside his own county...would mean that he is either breeding terrorists or changing the mindset of Americans to that of being a terrorist."

    I'm here to learn.

So he's stupid enough to deceive Americans?

Once again your first quote was that Bush is stupid. Did his family, and money and blah, blah.....whatever..but is he stupid?

You know very well what I'm talking about. Go watch Fahrenheit 9/11 and it will give you some clue about Bush. Maybe it's a little bias but its true enough to give you an idea about him and his family. I have no problem with Bush kicking the crap out of those terrorists but how he handle the whole war thing and with the other international powerhouse is degrading and bullish.
