Stone traded multiple firsts for him. Ime is a smart coach. I doubt the Rockets think anything negative of Alp. He, like all of our young pillars need to work their butts off and improve. Simple as that
You're a savage lil fella aren't you Okay, I'm done. Starting to feel bad about mocking someone like you. I'm sure you can't help how you are. Take it easy, Scrappy.
I think of how Scotty Brooks wanted that Manu role for Harden. If OKC decided to keep James, it would have been 3 more seasons of Harden averaging 17 pts watching Durant and Westbrook shoot 20 fgs each. His opportunity delayed until 2016. Crazy how it works out. So many examples of teams not appreciating what's right in front of their eyes for whatever perceived reasons.
Thank you for your response. It demonstrates, in clear detail, some of the things Rockets fans despise most in your ilk. 1) The entitlement attitude: (Sengun shouldn't have to earn minutes. Even the idea of asking him to is a joke.) 2) The figmented persecution complex: (Everybody hates Sengun. KPJ hates Sengun, Racist Silas hates Sengun, Secretly Jalen hates Sengun, Clutch hates Sengun, Stupid Rockets fans hate Sengun. Basically anyone with an objective opinion who chooses not to slurp Sengun is a hater.) 3) The delusions of grandeur/ unearned prestige: (Sengun is unquestionably the Rockets best player and prospect, Sengun is the Rockets best big man prospect since Hakeem, Sengun has Jokic tier ability, Sengun should have gone #1 or #2 in the draft if stupid American scouts knew how to evaluate talent, Everyone in a Rockets uniform is there to help Sengun, not the other way around) One of your cohorts even wrote "Just give Sengun the keys. If he crashes, he crashes." Suggesting they are willing to forestall, derail, or otherwise jeopardize the development of the rest of the young talent on the team just to satisfy their Sengun fetish. Fortunately I am able to separate my support for Sengun as a Rocket from my distaste for his unhinged fanatics. And while I don't often go in for such schadenfreude, when reality creeps in on you Rockets hating Sengunatics...
I go from the Jalen thread to the Sengun thread and its the same feces throwing just different members
It's not even his (21st) birthday yet lol. Looks like he is on the beach in Florida. Better be careful in Destin, tragic what happened to the former QB.
Copying this here from another thread. Sengun + Eason = good interior defense When these two play together, the Rockets are an above average defensive team, no matter what turnstile plays at guard. The formula of (unathletic skilled big) + (long-wingspanned, agile, lane-disruptive, elite help-defense forward) is quite proven in the league. Pair Sengun with two plus defenders in the forward spots, and our defense will not get in the way of us competing. Sengun takes (mostly) good position, he has active hands, gives a lot of effort, makes hustle plays, takes charges. No coincidence he was one of just 3 players in the whole league to have over 70 blocks and 70 steals last year - and he did so in his second season, in just 28 minutes. Sengun is just 20 yo. His body will change as he grows, both in size and athleticism. There is a natural physical evolution with Euro bigs. Valanciunas/Zubac were scrawny, Sabonis couldn’t jump over a newspaper, Vucevic/ Nurkic/Jokic/ Poeltl were all bullied in the paint at that age. It is highly unlikely that Sengun stays physically who he is today. He will 100% gain 2-3 inches of vertical, he can 100% carry an extra 20 lbs of weight at his peak, he will 100% improve his stamina (and thus 4th quarter effort/concentration). In terms of athleticism (vertical jump, speed, agility) he is way ahead of where all the above were at the same age. Everything I have seen in my 40 years of watching Euro basketball tells me that Sengun at peak will surpass Sabonis/Valanciunas/Nurkic/Jokic defensively and potentially also Zubac/Poeltl. He just needs playing time.

Honestly it'd be very kind of clutch if he elaborates on that. He keeps talking about his bad work ethic, and all the information he provides on the matter is that he preferred joining the national team instead of the team's summer camp last summer. Representing your nation in your national team is not bad work ethic.
I am going to wade into this one... a little late, but better late than never. Two main points... I doubt Alpi ever reaches the heights where everyone goes... "You know what, he is our franchise player." I think he will fall just below the threshold of the All-NBA players who can will their teams to championships. In my opinion (this is the internet after all), the franchise player should be the #1 option on a championship contender. I think Alpi's upside is as a strong #2 or #3 on a championship team - not as a Jokic level franchise player. To really elevate his game to Jokic level, he has to be able to hit 3's and play all-nba defense. Jokic, because he can hit 3's in volume just has so much gravity on the court and by being a 3-point threat that gravity pulls the opposing defense apart to create the spacing that Jokic exploits with his all time great passing by a big man. Alpi might develop the 3-ball, but Jokic had the 3 ball in his bag right out of the gate. Sengun will fall short of being the Franchise unless he develops a high volume 3-ball game. On defense, Jokic's BPM for defense has been great his whole career and the highest in the league the past 2 seasons. Alpi probably never gets to that level of defense - although the advanced metrics are kinder to Sengun than the fans on this board. I think Alpi is likely to make multiple all-star games and be a great complementary star who supports the effort to win championships. Alperen is tracking ahead of bigs like Domantas Sabonis who rebound well, play decent defense, and can play make on low usage. Domantas has been popping out 3-5 VORP seasons since his 4th year in the league. I think we should extend Sengun next summer and keep him in Houston for the long term run at championships.
First, my post history is readily available for anyone who cares to peruse. I strongly suggest you do so before further embarrassing yourself. Lying serves no purpose. Secondly, I'm a firm believer in the adage that you can tell as much about a person by those who hate them as you can by those who like them. That being the case, your disdain is greatly appreciated. I would say the feeling is mutual but you just don't rise to that level of relevance. Good day
I agree with you. But that’s still a damn good player. You don’t get rid of that, we just have to find the Batman to his Robin
Oh no he thinks he did sth. 1) He is the one that deserves to start the most. In the last 2 years he's been our best player with KPJ which is undisputable. We have a rtarded team and he makes around him better. Yes he earned his spot for being efficient, team player and the guy has highest bbiq on the roster. What else is he supposed to do? Tickle your balls? 3) With Kpj rn he is our best player. Nobody says he is Jokic ppl are saying he just might be if he is given enough chances. Signs are there he needs to be given chances so that we know if he is or isn't. I've yet to see anyone claims that he is the best big man since Hakeem. Nobody has ever said that he is better than Howard. Fu*k me you are a true retat aren't you? It's been ages since i've come across one.
