Since we are all bored, let's see how this works.

If we were to do a father/son 2-on-2 tourney, which team would win? Let's assume that age didn't matter. Just imagine they are all in their prime. For those younger players, you'll have to project their "prime."

The Barry's would have a chance, but I'd say Kobe/Jelly Bean...not at all because of Joe, but Kobe's so much more talented then most of those other people that he could lead them to the win.

How about Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Jr. Jabbar.

Or Michael Jordan ( in his prime) and his 4 year old.

I voted for the Waltons. Bill would dominate anybody inside, maybe with the exception of Malone. If Luke could develop a reliable shot in his prime, that could be a deadly duo.

Kobe might be the most talented of the bunch. But I'm sure every team would double-team him and leave his sucky dad alone. And he would force up terrible shots. And Joe would yell, "Give me the damn ball or Mama'll spank your butt!"

The Barrys would just camp out on the perimeter and shoot their opponents to submission.

The Dunleavys would lose every game and Sr. would say to Jr., "You play. I'll coach."

Karla to Cheryl, "This is what we'll do. I'll put an elbow on Jelly Bean's stomach. You let Kobe go up and dunk and undercut him on the way down. He'll be finished. Just don't let him rip your shirt to break the fall."

    :D

If it's "Make-it/Take-it" I think the Barry's have an advantage.

Only two of those players ever carried their teams to a NBA championship, Walton and Barry.

IMO Walton is clearly and overwhelmingly the best of the bunch when he was in his prime and before the foot problems.

Bill and Luke Walton by a landslide since their is absolutely no one on the floor that could stop Bill from scoring when he is with in 10 feet of the goal.

In the Jelly Bean/Kobe team, would Jelly Bean ever get the ball? I think not. I went with the Barry's. Both are dead eyes with mad fundamental skills. All the others have one weak player.

The Barry's easy. Plus, they also have subs in Drew and Jon. :)

Waltons can run an inside-outside game. If you don't double-team Bill, he'll score; if you do, he'll kick it out to Luke for 3.

I'd definetly prefer father/son matches during the all star games instead of the ones with washed up celebrities. Malone can play too, I guess. I'd like to see yao and his dad play too, his dad still practices on the weekends. would be awesome to see old legends and their rising stars play against each other. I guess the only issue would be the risk of someone breaking their hip.

Kobe would give up the ball or his daddy would bend him over a chair:eek: ...and spank him.

I pick the Barrys as well.

Dolph and Danny Schayes would kill these two. Danny was a solid defender and could handle Bill while Dolph would score at will over Luke.

I think that Yao and his father will win. Yao's father can still drill wide open 3s at over 80% mark. Maybe the Rockets should offer him an contract so that he can backup TMac.
