Tari Eason also might ultimately end up being more valuable than Whitmore as a SF. I don't think he's quite at that level of value yet but he's not far off, being placed inside the top 10 in many 2022 redrafts. His archetype (defense, hustle, rebounding) is also easier to slot into a team concept than a ball-dominant scorer like Cam projects to be.

No way, would rather develop Tari on his rookie deal then throw money at an over-priced small forward in a player option year, especially if we draft Whitmore. Do you remember how bad he was as a Laker?

I have a feeling the Beal trade is going to shake up the rest of the league a lot

it certainly demonstrated that if u attach a no-trade clause to a contract, you are likely to get majorly screwed on any return u hope to get for your “franchise star”. ;)

I was probably the number 1 Lakers Kuzma hater trust me. I said he'd retire if he got traded from LA cause he's just about the celebrity and not about the basketball. That said, he really turned it around in Washington, especially this year. Fixed his shot selection, became a very good rebounder and plays great defense. Remember, he won a championship with the Lakers and played with LeBron so there is some real big game experience that he can pass down to our guys. I don't see him as part of the future core, just a transitional mentor super role player guy that can help out in a year where the free agency class sucks. His game is versatile enough that he could help any contender so it's an easy trade when Tari or any wing we draft is ready to emerge.

Might as well have said, Rox target mediocre backup players.

Phoenix is the new Golden State. The West is in big trouble.

Well, they have two guards and an older more fragile Durant, so yeah, pretty much the new Golden State but not.

    Who is their throat-punching, eye-scratching, moving-screen, rebound-bearhugging small 5?

Not in love with his PER, ranked #120 overall, and his almost 1-1 TO/AST ratio. You still good with paying that around $20 M per year to help out our young guys?

Didn’t Kuzma already play for us a couple of seasons back? We traded him to Dallas IIRC

Brook Lopez and Austin Reeves ( RFA) can help. I don't see a need for Cam Johnson anymore. No to Dillon Brooks please.

Eason was selected with a higher pick than Whitmore and is several years older. It’s normal if Eason starts over Whitmore
