How does Amen fit with KPJ?

Maybe Porter comes off the bench. Maybe in a year it is clear that Porter is better than green and Porter starts at shooting guard.

I want Porter at small forward drafting amen allows that defensively. KOJ is awesome for Amen spacing wise

 

Bigger question is who will teach Amen how to shoot?

 

I would have to believe that Amen will be the starter at PG and KPJ will come off the bench, most likely as the 6th man. I know everyone has questions about Amen and his shot but I have just as many questions on if KPJ will accept coming off the bench. If he throws a fit, Udoka won’t put up with his ****.

 

KPJ likely was an experiment as Rockets bought him low with hopes that his ability to get to the rim and shooting might translate into a big time playmaker. It hasn’t worked. That’s why they gave him that not fully guaranteed contract. Time to move on.

 

KPJ gets benched and next day brings a gun to practice and calls himself the Lead Honcho

Amen Thompson will play the starting Point Guard in the first five.

We have no idea until the coaches see this team in scrimmages in training camp. It's going to be a competition and that's good for development of young guys. Everyone including Green should be fighting for their spots in training camp

 

Way too much talent at the guard position so it will be interesting to see how it shakes out. I still think we need a good role player with shooting touch. Would like to take a flyer on Hunter Tyson

 

I think KPJ will either start at 3 or get traded. That doesn't mean Amen will start necessarily though. He might start backing up a vet PG that we get in free agency

 

I want Amen to start for the comedy factor.

I'm not "rooting" for anything...but it should be hilarious to watch a backcourt with 1 bad and one hilariously awful shooter.

The Rockets were the worst shooting team heading into the night and they managed to get worse. It's not "rooting for them to fail" pointing that out.

That said, it's fine for people to Homer out a while about it. Reality will be coming soon enough.
