There is a good chance he turns it around, the stuff is still there.... but he isn't going to turn it around being trotted out there every third game so he can give up 450 foot blasts. He needs to accept a demotion to AAA to work on his mechanics or he needs to go on the DL and work on his mechanics. As he is right now, the Astros would be better having Bregman take the mound.
The plan was to resign Montero all along, the decisions were made before the season had even ended. It was like Bagwell walked in and said "lets sign Montero".
The bad news is that I am thinking the 7th inning is when the Mets take the lead back. The good news is that Seth Martinez and Raffy Montrero already have pitched so we shouldn't get shelled in the 7th or 8th. I get it....... teams are not ready to trade yet, but the Astros need some relievers. Because......... Montro, Martinez, Stanek and Blanco are NOT the answer.
