Calling this an "integrity problem" is a massive understatement given the extraordinary amounts of trust is given to an FBI agent's word. Klinesmith extended the Carter Page FISA wiretaps by lying about finding new evidence which gave the Mueller team a justifiable entry into digging deeper. Certain portions of the FBI knew Page was an asset rather than a foreign agent but that was conveniently left out to give sweeteners to the press by Clinton leakers. As the press began saying the FBI was looking into it, it further justified the FBI to officially look into it. I might have some order of events mixed around (3-4 yr old boring and labyrinthine story full of lies and more lies) given the copious amounts of political infighting inside the sprawling DoJ, but it's funny that Americans deeply distrustful of law enforcement and corrupt governments can turn a blind eye to this when it becomes political. Even the shady and nebulous FISA court, which presumably prevents future 9/11s by being a shady court, is being touted as a functioning system, plus or minus a few tweaks.
Very sad what Durham did to his reputation. Another career flushed down the toilet in orange tinted water.
He hasn't looked very good throughout this investigation. He has the rare ability to both come across as biased AND fail to deliver for those that he appears to be biased towards. He cannot change the facts, but the build up was insane and at the end he really didn't deliver much at all.
Gaetz is like, Man you let the country down, you could have trumped your way through this and come up with lies so we could kill the evil libs..............what Gaetz meant to say was, he let down the maga base because there was no there, there Durham was 0-2 in court cases with 1 charge which they pled guilty and served no time Man, that was a waste of a few years simply trying to get a GOTCHA moment
He was laughed out the court room and embarrassed in front of congress. 4 years of work and nothing to show for it.
