Nickmercs has Freedom of speech, and the company has the freedom to take down nickmercs stuff since his words/beliefs doesn't represent the company. It's not that complicated. Gamers just needs to play games and not bring up politics or contentious topics. COD is quite big, folks boycotting to support nickmercs ain't gonna stop dem from milking the series, it's as pointless as boycotting the Harry Potter game.

Add the context. He tweeted leave the kids alone in response to a video of pro-LGBT+ supporters getting attacked. If he had just tweeted that in a vacuum sure, but tweeting that in reply to pride supporters facing violence is not a good look. Call of Duty will be fine.
