He’s a rental so what should we be willing to give up? I would definitely give up #20. Is that worth it?

Absolutely need to grab Tyus. Go 3 years for bigger money in this garbage free agent class.

Of all the “solutions” for our PG situation I like this one by far the best. Hope we can make it happen. Could be Lowry part 2.

Tyus Jones is solid. Very High iq. Definitely wouldn’t mind him being a rocket

he’s definitely a better choice than significantly overpaying someone like FVV

He would be an unflashy pickup that wouldn't make as big of an impact on the win total as Harden or probably even FVV, but he is solid in all areas of the game, and his contract length is perfect if we draft a point guard and want him to come off the bench as a rookie. Also provides us with a way of hedging bets--if our in-house options don't work out, we can try to re-sign Tyus to continue playing point guard for us. Since he's only 27, he shouldn't be a bad buy on a 3-4 year deal in a year's time.

Don't know if I buy that "report". Who's gonna play PG for Memphis? He's the only eligible PG on the roster for the first quarter of the season.

Yes, please! Couldn't ask for a better fit a PG. Would Memphis trade him for KPJ, straight up?

Bane is combo guard-ish, so maybe they're thinking they can work something out. It's also possible they may have their eye on somebody they can spend the MLE on for a longer-term, cheaper option?

I’d love it, but what’s the cost? Would a younger, cheaper KJM and a SRP get it done? I’d personally be willing to go #20 if he’s extendable.

Another thought I had: Supposing that Memphis puts together a deal in principle with a free agent center (Porzingis, Vucevic, Lopez)... is there any way we can take Steven Adams off their hands too and kill two birds with one stone, address both our needs in one trade?

They would ask for Tate from us and I think we lose the trade . Maybe a push

Tate and Bane together is too much dawg for the rest of the division to handle :)

we talk about fixing the PG position , and thus is aight . But what we really need to do (pray for , since I don’t think we will make a move ) is hope green and Jabari become average nba players

If we could get him for 20 and a guy like Tate that has no future here, I'm all for it. He'd come in as either the best or second best shooter on the team and by moving KPJ to the 3 it would be one move that would improve 2 positions.

Now this isn't something you'd seriously consider if you were even halfway thinking about drafting Amen Thompson though.

Edit- the money doesn't work with Tate, so pencil in KJ Martin instead.

Who could refuse a trade package featuring the “best point guard” on The Rockets?
