Dusty has been real bad managing the staff the last month. How many times have we let other team back when it’s obvious the starter is running into issues? He’s forcing them to get past the inning and ignoring the eye test.
hes been doing that for the last month and it hasn’t worked at all. Soo many runs given up in the 5th-7th innings that lets the other team back in. Feels like squeeing the starters and trying so hard to preserve the bullpen is backfiring and it ends up taxing them even more.
Dusty thinks forcing his starters to stay in an extra inning will save the bullpen but in reality it's backfired and forced them to pitch in extra innings which we always lose in anyway. He's managing Blanco and Bielak like he did Verlander and Framber last season. He's stubbornly set in his ways.
This team cannot afford to wait until the trade deadline. The roster is woefully short at this point. Need two SP, a reliever, and an OF. Dana Brown get off your ass and make something happen.
Hoping this past week ends up being the low point of the season while fearing it’s a sign of things to come.
If we get to the playoffs, you guys expect Pena to repeat what he did last playoffs? Now it seems more like an aberration than the norm. He won't have Yuli guaranteeing a hit every game with no strike-outs. Montero, Abreu, and Pressly have fallen off big time.
Dusty handling this pitching staff is shades of what got him into trouble in Chicago. Cubs fans still blame him for ruining Woods and Prior.
