I will probably play more games than Zach Lavine next season---me, that is, 54 years old, 97% white, 3% Native American, 100% talentless.
Lavine can stay hurt in Chi-Town.

I've seen a lot of batshit crazy posts in my 25 years on CF, and I say this one is definitely a Hall of Fame candidate.

    A) it was a joke
    B) being a millionaire doesn’t mean his habits can’t improve if he’s not surrounded by rich and heavy cuisine options.

    This!
Look at the past picks at number 4; which of these players are better than Lavine or Zion? Westbrook and CP3 are but any others?

How many went to an all-star game?

The draft is a crap shoot; I would rather risk it with Zion or Lavine than a draft pick...

    Past #4 Picks
    Year Player School/Country – Team
    2019 De’Andre Hunter – Atlanta Hawks
2018 Jaren Jackson Jr., Michigan State – Memphis Grizzlies
2017 Josh Jackson, Kansas – Phoenix Suns
2016 Dragan Bender, Israel – Phoenix Suns
2015 Kristaps Porzingis, Baloncesta Sevilla – New York Knicks
2014 Aaron Gordon, Arizona – Orlando Magic
2013 Cody Zeller, Indiana – Charlotte Bobcats
2012 Dion Waiters, Syracuse – Cleveland Cavaliers
2011 Tristan Thompson, Texas – Cleveland Cavaliers
2010 Wesley Johnson, Syracuse – Minnesota Timberwolves
2009 Tyreke Evans, Memphis – Sacramento Kings
2008 Russell Westbrook, UCLA – Seattle Supersonics
2007 Mike Conley Jr, Ohio State – Memphis Grizzlies
2006 Tyrus Thomas, Louisiana State – Portland Trail Blazers
2005 Chris Paul, Wake Forest – New Orleans Hornets
2004 Shaun Livingston, Peoria HS (IL) – L.A. Clippers
2003 Chris Bosh, Georgia Tech – Toronto Raptors
2002 Drew Gooden, Kansas – Memphis Grizzlies
2001 Eddy Curry, Thornwood HS (IL) – Chicago Bulls
2000 Marcus Fizer, Iowa State – Chicago Bulls
1999 Lamar Odom, Rhode Island – L.A. Clippers
1998 Antawn Jamison, North Carolina – Toronto Raptors
1997 Antonio Daniels, Bowling Green – Vancouver Grizzlies
1996 Stephon Marbury, Georgia Tech – Milwaukee Bucks
1995 Rasheed Wallace, North Carolina – Washington Bullets
1994 Donyell Marshall, Connecticut – Minnesota Timberwolves
1993 Jamal Mashburn, Kentucky – Dallas Mavericks
1992 Jim Jackson, Ohio State – Dallas Mavericks
1991 Dikembe Mutombo, Georgetown – Denver Nuggets
1990 Dennis Scott, Georgia Tech – Orlando Magic

23 and Me receipts usually *end* the argument.

The only way the Rockets could get a game changing player like Zion Williams is if there wasn't the injury and durability concerns. It's a significant gamble, but if the Rockets don't have to give up much more than the 4th pick, I would do it. Bet on the youth and bet on the sheer, ungodly talent.

How about 4th pick, next year's brooklyn pick, the year after number 1 pick and KMJ for Zion?

We get an all world talent that is only 22 and picks that we really don't need as we already have developing players on our team......

This is a good argument. I would gamble on Zion's talent and potential if it only cost the #4 pick and his enormous contract.
Would you move the #4 pick, or another combo of assets for Zach Lavine?

DD: to answer your question, I would not add many assets past this year's #4 and #20 picks for Zion. I think there is a point where the cost don't make the gamble worth persuing.

Our picks are worthless if there is no playing time to develop them, we are already loaded with young promising players, no one we take at 4 will be better than:

    Green
    Bari
    KPJ
    Sengun

At least for 2-3 years ......

Trading for Zach LaVine makes no sense. Idk why that idea is even being brought up.

I said it before the draft that Zion exhibits tight bilateral hamstrings,
bilateral hip flexors and you can expect problems at the ankles, knees,
hips and lower back as a result. Stay far away from him.

Players tend to get more injuries as they get older.....not less.

I'll take Ingram instead. One has to wonder why Pels are
cutting him loose at such a young age. If your "All Star" label
    matters that much !!
