Not related to the righteousness of the charges against Trump and speaks very poorly of his supporters.

Imagine wanting to donate to the leader who breaks laws that endanger Americans military, allies, and intelligence gathering ability.

Trump raises $7 million for 2024 campaign since federal indictment

    excerpt:

A spokesman for Trump, who is the frontrunner for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, later emailed Reuters stating that fundraising had passed the bar of $7 million since the indictment was announced on Thursday.

    Never negotiate. Never surrender.

    It's a sign of weakness.

I wonder how much money his kids will make off his name while he’s in prison.

So he ignored legal advise from his lawyers but instead listen to a conservative activist, who is not a lawyer. Just hand nukes over to this genius.

It was a totally unforced error,” said one person close to Trump who has been part of dozens of discussions about the documents. “We didn’t have to be here.”

Trump time and again rejected the advice from lawyers and advisers who urged him to cooperate and instead took the advice of Tom Fitton, the head of the conservative group Judicial Watch, and a range of others who told him he could legally keep the documents and should fight the Justice Department, advisers said. Trump would often cite Fitton to others, and Fitton told some of Trump’s lawyers that Trump could keep the documents, even as they disagreed, the advisers said.”

I think were starting to see a slight turn with some gop members including Pence who seems to be inching closer to telling a partial truth about trump and a few others who are coming out and saying this is bad. Chris C has no issue calling it exactly what it is whihc is refreshing to see, Christie has been the only one I have seen that has gone after him on policy also.

The spike in trumps polls dont shock me, so much of the maga crowd characteristics are just like trump so they totally relate to this man and love him, because he is just like them. They don't really care about the rule of law, most of them are racist and homophobic and want fake Christian values, white wash the past and prefer old white men to control the government................and anyone who is outside of their beliefs is an evil liberal who is woke. I thought it was ludicrous when trump made the statement about shotting a person on 5th avenue and he would get away with it.........remember how bonkers that sounded? It has come to fruition and his base is ready for a fight, the question is will the level headed gop members be able to stop the extremists in the party whihc seems to grow every year, how long until the gop extremists like bobrat, gaetz and mtg are the majority of the gop..........sad, when I first started voting the gop told me they had a huge tent, inclusive for everyone and I even voted gop a few times but those days are so far removed I don't even recognize the gop

Christie and Liz Cheney are 2 repubs who are being truthful, Romney too - they all want Trump gone, but they have spent decades dumbing down their followers, to where they no longer have the cognitive ability to think for themselves.

Trump is a crook has always been a crook and when you put a crook in charge they break the law.

Trump belongs in prison or with this latest case, tried as a traitor you can't have him and his loose lips out there in the wild knowing American secrets.....so either he gets put into solitary or.......faces a traitors death.

I’m still not sold on Christie or Pence about what sort of change of heart they have made. A lot of people including both Christie and Pence said some hatch things about Trump in the 2016 primaries only or become fawning supporters.

Thst Pence can only now give grudging and qualified criticisms of Trump after his supporters threatened to hand him and Trump
Essentially agreed doesn’t give me confidence in Pence.

My expectation is if Trump wins the GOP nomination again Pence and Christie will be there pledging their loyalty. Trump will welcome them back becaue he loves lording it over previous critiques.

Could Trump defy the odds again?

    https://thehill.com/opinion/campaign/4053511-could-trump-defy-the-odds-again/

    excerpt:

Democrats always go too far. They are encouraged by the near-monolithic stance of most media outlets and driven by a party agenda that kowtows to the far left. Biden, remember, adopted Sen Bernie Sanders’s (I-Vt.) playbook in order to assure that progressive followers of Sanders would come out to vote in 2020. It worked, but the tail effects of adopting that woke and green agenda may come to haunt Democrats in 2024.

Voters are angry. They are angry about the weaponization of our Department of Justice, the seemingly unequal application of our laws and the extremism of the Biden White House. Ultimately, the greatest possible act of political defiance in our country’s history would be the reelection of Trump. Like Brexit in the U.K., it is conceivable that voters are so fed up that they will defy the elites, the media and Hollywood, and vote for Trump. It could happen.
