My prediction is that the team will play better team defense. At least you would hope they would.

US better be on their toes. If they couldn't beat Italy yesterday (a team with no NBA players), it could get ugly agains Dirk and his boys if they don't get it together. Still though, my prediction:

    USA 89, GERMANY 76

They can redeem themselves by winning by 15+pts because I know that German team is better than Italian NT.

But if they still lose, well, then I have nothing to say.

I'm pretty sure the USA will destroy Germany. They have gotten their wake-up call and will be out to prove something today. Plus, Germany has a very young team, there are a bunch of new guys whose names Dirk didn't even know until a few days ago. Italy has a team where they really know how to play with each other already.

    My prediction:

    USA 101 - Germany 72

Can anyone translate that? From what I see the Germans already won 85-77, am I right?

My bad that was the Italy Germany score...

I think the live ticker died. They only have the ticker for the Italy game and the starters for today's game, that's it.

I've been trying to find a different live ticker, but cannot find anything.

I kind of hope we lose because

1: we can start to take these games seriously
2: we can enter with an underdog mentality
3: our next olympic team will have top tier players.

US is playing great against a Germany team who is missing their starting backcourt and did not qualify for the Olympics.

Well, unfortunately, Italy is barely a top 10 team in the Olympics games (#9 world ranking), and they are not in the same group as US.
