Just not feeling the magic. After the thrill of being in the building for game six it seems to have gone downhill. Everyone including the peanut vendor is freaking injured. Crane subbing as a GM was a dumpster fire. We are 6 back in the loss column but perhaps I should be more concerned about having 2 teams within 4 in the loss column. That four game set against the rangers in a few weeks will be big. If we don’t take 3 of 4 I don’t see us catching them.
No this for sure, but you can’t tell me that the last week hasn’t been frustrating as hell and much of the decision making has been questionable AF. Also, hard to envision the current lineup and staff going deep. We need guys to get healthy and get back to full strength.
No, I was being facetious. I realize they don't KNOW. But everyone on here mentioned it long before gametime. I'm sure Dusty and the organization knew that was not a competitive lineup and there was little chance to win before the game even started.
The following probably doesn't make sense and is likely irrational. If I think my team is better than the other teams it is fighting with to make the playoffs, I tend to be a pessimist. If I think my team is worse or about the same as the other teams it is fighting, I tend to be an optimist.
I'm not either. And its not just because of their win/loss record. To be clear, this is a very talented team. But much of the fire seems absent. Its as though they did their proving last year and they don't have anything to prove in this one. Not saying their not trying to win, but there is no urgency, concern or the feeling that anyone much cares on the Astros. Perhaps they have earned this. Their history has been made, and they sewed it up last year. But the fans notice the difference. This fan anyway.
