This is a perfect example of why Scoot would be a huge upgrade at PG. He's smart enough to draw the defenders AND pass to the open guy. As opposed to... https://m.youtube.com/shorts/dSBX4kU32I8
He would add great length and shooting and we can move KMJ to bench or trade him with #20 for vet depth.
People forget how young he is. Typically he would have played less, against bench players that are worse for more of his minutes than he did, with better and more seasoned teammates. The results were what they were inefficient. He did though get coming into this season more double doubles than any players ever in the nba other than Lebron and Dwight Howard. I am confident that the rebounding, defense, and shot making are going to make him a phenomenal player. The type of player before the draft that is conducive to winning when you have guys that can create shots around him. We will see though.
That’s a great opportunity for Portland to put some firepower next to Dame. Maybe they can get C.J. McCollum and Larry Nance Jr? Lillard/Simons/CJ/Nance/Nurkic = championship Wait…
Scoot didn't exactly tear it up in the G league. I am not as big as some on this kid. It's not a true point guard at 6'2" the only shot 27% from being on the ark. In comparison, Jalen Green shot 36.5% for Idk. I see it differently. Two completely different type of players. Banchero was a big 6'10", 250lb athletic player with a decent mid range and great power game when he was drafted. He wasn't known as a great shooter but he still shot 52% on 2's and nearly 34% from 3 to go along with just under 8 boards a game. He was also great in transition while possessing athleticism and strength to play through interior defenders. What do we really know about Henderson? What makes him special? He seems to posses decent athletic ability but he's more of a combo guard that can't shoot. Shot only 42% and just 27% from beyond the arc in the G League. That's not good considering it's the G League. Hell, even Green shot 34% from 3 for the Ignite. What say you?

it's kind of depressing knowing that if we just landed the 3rd pick, we could have gotten potentially scoot or traded that pick for brandon ingram. but then again this is the last team that needed luck. we had 2 top 3 picks within the last 2 years. we shouldn't even be in this position.
Going to repeat it once again for those in the back: Scoot Henderson did not shoot 27% from the three point line. That's an artifact of the way stats are broken down on websites. When you include all regular season G-League games he shot over 32%.
Tari rim finishing was awful and his 3% needs major improvement as well. Miller was pushing 39% on high volume. For me has the potential to be an elite 3&D player and fits our roster very well.
4th more than 5th, 5th more than 6th, 6th more than 7th... slow news for content creators that they actually have to "create" news
I have posted this before. Banchero has been overated on this board. Jabari will end up the best out of that draft. Last year stats: https://global.nba.com/players/#!/paolo_banchero Scoot looks like the real deal to me and to most of the basketball community. Banchero is 29% from 3 in the pros and 47% on 2’s and averaged 3.7 apg and 6.9 rebounds. Given similar minutes, Scoot will blow him away on assists, will be as good or better at shooting, FT%. Banchero will probably beat him at rebounding. Banchero is a so/so defender, but not sure about Scoot.
History also tells us that there will be a player taken outside of the top three better than at least one of them. He's out there, we just have to find him.
