It's a good strategy to pass anti-immigrant laws, anti-gay laws, and abortion restrictions in Florida if you are trying to keep the state red. A lot of how they are winning elections is that Florida has been attracting conservatives to move here more than liberals, and by scaring away liberals from Florida, you can definitely shift elections in a state where it was nearly 50-50 a decade ago.

What an ignorant post. Have you ever been to Florida? There are a tremendous number of immigrants. What probably blows your mind is that a huge number of those immigrants vote Republican. There are also a tremendous number of New Yorkers moving there that definitely aren’t scared to move to Florida, and they aren’t voting red.
