Is that because CP3 sucks or is it because Cam Payne is a really good backup who is probably starting-caliber in his own right?

Obviously at age 38 CP3 isn't the same guy he was in his prime, but statistically he looks like he was still a pretty good player.

Phoenix must have some sort of plan to replace him, I would think, and is not doing it for financial reasons. But who knows.

I'd also love to see him in Houston as a mentor for the young players, but the way things ended last time, I highly doubt that would happen.

If he is waived, what's to stop the Rockets from simply claiming him off waivers? Obviously if they wanted him that is.

Paul is injury prone at the worst possible times.

Imagining Paul & LBJ at their ages, plus Anthony Davis staying even remotely healthy is pretty close to impossible.

If CP3 cared about winning, he should go East to either Boston or Milwaukee. As sh*tty as the West will be next season, neither Phoenix or both LA teams are going to get passed Denver.

The fact that Cp3 hasn't joined Miami to help them beat Jokic says alot about his professionalism.

CP3 must be a really tough character to deal with. He keeps getting dumped.
