LOL. I had hopes that this 'improve the football team by having worse players on it' idea was a bridge too far in stupidity even for Clutchfans. Sadly I am wrong.
I would sign Hopkins if the money was agreeable. It's always smart to surround a young QB with as many weapons as possible. And if Stroud does start to lean too hard on Hopkins - which wouldn't be great for his development - I would expect the coaches to figure it out. I don't think BOB could ever figure it out so, with him nursing a grudge already, he likely saw a trade as a solution to a problem he couldn't solve.
Well same here, if the money was agreeable....meaning you could potentially cut him if it wasn't working out and there's no way you get stuck with him for multiple seasons if you didn't want to, then I'd be all for it. I'd be pulling for him to make a late career comeback and I think he'd benefit the team overall while eliminating the downside if the optimistic outlook didn't end up being the way things were going. I just don't see a reason why Nuk would want that at this stage in his career. This will be likely the last contract he ever gets, he should maximize his money and coast on the way out.
The Pats remind me of the rockets (pre harden). Not good enough for playoffs but not bad enough for a top 5 pick. Buried in mediocrity.
